Look Book: Verity & Daughters
Here are a few shots from a spring look book I photographed for Verity & Daughters on a verrrry cold day in November in Brooklyn. Designer Jean Liu specializes in vintage-style jumpsuits with great details and a flattering fit. They are quite covetable – the white one in particular would be great for spring/summer. But Liu’s dedicated fan base knows this already – they frequently send her photos of themselves in her much-loved designs.
At this shoot, model Terumi Murao was a great sport with unflagging energy and a high tolerance for cold blustery wind – plus some serious styling skills. There was no official set; we just scouted locations on site and did it Brooklyn renegade-style with a Nikon and iPhone XS. Street style as fashion shoot!

NYT: A Year of Style, in Photos
Very happy to be included in this New York Times Styles’ “A Year of Style, in Photos” for 2017. The other photos are quite amazing, especially when taken in sum. As for mine, I’m just glad that years of chasing Hanne Gaby Odiele down the street worked out, and not just as a workout.

Covered Up: Photos in the NYT
More photos in the Thursday Styles section of the New York Times: four of my street style images illustrating Vanessa Friedman’s insightful article “Women, Fashion Has You Covered.” Glad she could articulate what I was only seeing in bits and pieces throughout Fashion Month – and glad we could build an international coalition somewhere! – with Natalia Vodianova, Fatima, Olivia Palermo and Anya Ziourova.

Massive Street Style Slideshow on the New York Times
So this happened: a massive slideshow of 82 of my street style photos in the New York Times Styles section online. Click through for all the best looks from NY Fashion Week!
It was an honor and a privilege to shoot for the New York Times, having been a Styles section reader for pretty much my entire life. Thanks to my editors at the NYT, my fellow photographers, and all the stylish people who were kind enough to pose for us, including Ansley Dawson, Emma Sousa and Farah Alimi, pictured here in a huge rainstorm after the Marchesa show. It was a very Bill Cunningham moment, and he is very much in the thoughts of the fashion week showgoers this month.
