Sui He at Ralph Lauren Resort 2015
It was so exciting to see top model Sui He, now number 13 in the world, exiting the Ralph Lauren show in NYC. I remember photographing her when she just hit the scene. Her June look is a harbinger for what we may see on models at Paris Haute Couture in July: all denim with some sweet kicks: metallic Nike Air Max 1 sneakers in “Party,” now sold out at Barneys. The always-chic Sarah Rutson wore a colorful short sleeved Givenchy “American Dream” sweatshirt to the DKNY show yesterday. Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci has reinvented the lowly sweatshirt as high fashion, starting with his much-copied Rottweiler designs several years back. Look out for more luxe sweatshirts on the fashion crowd this fall. The boots are Balmain.

White Pom Pom Hat and Fur Coat, Outside Costello Tagliapietro
Here’s another adorable look from Day One of NY Fashion Week, which makes me wonder: Is cute the new edgy? A knit pom pom hat adds a playful finish to a high-low look of fur coat, button down shirt and Givenchy bag.
