Alek Wek wore a crisp suit in all white by Michael Kors to the Whitney Museum Gala – a look that could also go from day to night.
A cute nautical look on Kate Davidson Hudson at the Michael Kors show.
Natasha Zinko brought a pop of color to the Elie Saab couture show in Paris – and a ’70s look replete with purple glasses and blouse and yellow velvet pants. Expect more wild colors this fall as traditional autumn colors give way to the whole rainbow.
In the press: a whole slideshow of photos I took for the New York Times Styles section for the Governors Ball. There were a few cool looks among the sea of jorts, notably this one on Jessica Louise Dye, who coordinated a bunch of balloons with her outfit. Fun and extremely practical for the friends trying to find each other at this huge music festival.
Covetable shoes, bag, and pretty much everything on Janka Polliani at the Cedric Charlier show in Paris. The clashing colors keep it from being a little too neat.
One upshot of the wane of skinny jeans: denim has become a lot less conformist. Outside the Max Mara show, a guest wore an oversized denim jacket and pants with contrasting cuffs for a cool spin on this workday staple.
I love a bandeau top for a pool party, especially in a town with retro appeal like Palm Springs. A guest mixed hers with flowy tropical print pants at the Pop Sugar party at the Avalon hotel.
Spring is the time to experiment with different textures and colors now that we can finally shed some layers. Model Irina Liss exited the Margiela show in a black and white leather jacket with sheen. A long skinny silk scarf is the perfect spring accessory.
Supermodel Karlie Kloss exited the Ralph Lauren show in style. Her wide-legged white pants and sailor striped crop top were a nice preview of spring fashion to come. The varsity jacket is Dolce & Gabbana, the bag Ralph Lauren. Close up of the lovely Karlie after the jump. (more…)
Model Soo Joo Park wore an embroidered jacket by Stella McCartney to the resort show in New York. Embroidered floral motifs have been big on the runways recently – both in womenswear and men’s. Also: love her new hair color!
