Loved this sculptural Delpozo dress on Leaf Greener at the Ulyana Sergeenko couture show in Paris. Look for more architectural fashion that really makes a statement this fall. Detail shot of her lips earrings, after the jump. Her tiny bag is actually just an iPhone cover with a chain handle. (more…)
One of my favorite new It girls is Cosima Ramirez de la Prada, daughter of designer and Spanish baroness Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. She wore a cherry bedecked skirt of her mother’s design to the Maison Martin Margiela couture show in Paris.
Here’s another great maxi skirt, this time in red white and blue, perfect for summer in either France or the U.S.
Caroline Issa looked fabulous in a red dress and snakeskin print vest by Emily Wickstead at the Schiaparelli couture show in Paris. The shoes are by Paul Andrew.
Vogue Australia’s Christine Centenera wore a gorgeous red and black corseted outfit to the Schiaparelli show in Paris. See it from the back, after the jump. (more…)
Another pop of color for you on a gloomy day: at the Lacoste show in New York, Nausheen Shah wore a bright red coat, fur vest and white jeans and carried an awesome “Size Does Matter” clutch – a personalized bag by BOYY bags.
It may snow again in New York today. We can’t take any more winter! Therefore I’m going to try to focus on the cheerful colors worn by Indre Rockefeller at the Derek Lam show, where she mixed a cherry red coat with a pink top with sequin flowers. There has got to be spring around here somewhere.
A beautiful look for transitional spring weather. Outside the Max Mara show in Milan, a guest wore a long black vest under a pale cream silk coat for an invisible layer of warmth. The tomato red pants are a nice pop of color; the jeweled buckle flats are Prada. Also note: again, bared ankles for spring.
Michelle Elie tends to wear all Comme des Garçons during Paris fashion week, and the Issey Miyake show was no exception. This time it was a fabulous red plaid outfit with designer Rei Kawakubo’s signature complex twists and folds. The gold filigree sunglasses are Dolce & Gabbana and the killer spiked heels (literally, you could probably kill someone with them) are Louboutin. Close up after the jump. (more…)
Barbara Martello wore Saint Laurent’s clever vampire-themed beaded varsity jacket to the Celine show in Paris. Rolling Stones meets Rocky Horror meets Dracula? Either way, varsity level.
In Milan, the fashion set saw inclement weather as an opportunity to break out their best winter duds. This is really a case of “when in Rome” – Italian ladies have been known to don their best fur coats just for a trip to the grocery store. After the Moschino show, a model left in a brilliant red fur coat and leather leggings.
I am always dying for a sartorial shot of color at this time of year. Bright reds and oranges make a statement outside the Prabal Gurung show with this lobster print skirt.
