Greetings from NYC. Things have been a little crazy here. This is a photo from another freaky weather moment in NYC, when the skies opened up after the Alexander Wang show and a major thunderstorm ensued. Kudos to everyone who demonstrates grace under pressure no matter what the weather.
Remember when it was cool enough to wear things like – oh, I don’t know – pants? I am already craving the chill of fall and found inspiration in this look on Hanneli Mustaparta. The cute striped peplum jacket is Tibi, the shoes Tabitha Simmons, and the bag Acne. Close ups of her accessories after the jump. (more…)
Photo blogger Hanneli wore an Acne skirt and jacket in white leather to the Miu Miu show with blue gingham Miu Miu earrings, white Miu Miu platforms and a blue Valentino bag. The adorable fuzzy baby blue socks were actually knit for her by her boyfriend’s mom.

A model leaves the show in a dramatic black fur cape, long black skirt and black felt hat. (more…)
One Asian designer who has been in the game for a while now is Vivienne Tam. Though her designs are quite striking, they are not so trendy that you can’t wear them year after year. Even her dresses from 10 years ago still look current. Her spring collection, with its emphasis on ivory crochet and a romantic, gypsy girl feel, should be no exception.
More neutrals with a neon pop of color. The all-white look is still great for sunny days in early fall. (more…)
Though the plot lines of the show may be a little over-the-top, the tony, polished and sophisticated New York world of Gossip Girl does in fact exist. If you ever need proof, you need only go to an Oscar de la Renta show.
It’s called Rodar-TAY, darling. A select few braved the frosty atmosphere for the Rodarte show and arrived wearing some lovely, warm clothes for the occasion.
Sometimes, all it takes is a coat in just the right color, like the peachy nude of this overcoat, paired here with a fur hat and beige scarf. (more…)
