One of the biggest trends at Coachella 2016 was not a particular piece of clothing but the fact that friends are coordinating their outfits. Sisters Valentina and Chiara Ferragni wore a crochet and lace dress respectively, and Valentina’s pearl applique went well with Chiara’s tiara. The two star bloggers know a thing or two about how social media influences women’s sartorial choices. Girls can get dressed “together” for an event even if they are miles apart.
Modelpalooza! Devon Windsor, Rachel Hilbert and Anouk van Kleef layered dresses and vests over shorts and bikinis at Coachella day 0ne. Also note the round sunglasses on all three of them. If you buy nothing else this summer, get yourself a pair of these for an instant update.
A cool dress in a sequin star print was just a little bit trippy and a whole lot chic at Coachella 2016 day one. Leather boots are the way to go for tromping across the dusty festival grounds. Also love the daring hair extensions.
Even when the temperature isn’t cooperating, you can bring in the spring with a dose of bright color, as Helena Bordon did in a zippy orange Dior dress outside the couture show. Layer a spring dress over a black top, tights or boots to ease yourself out of winter.
Give it a whirl: Eleonora Carisi spun around in a purple fur coat and pink and purple print dress at the Costume National show.
A stylish new player on the scene, Australian fashion blogger Chloe Hill wore red and black to the Delpozo show in New York.
Another jet-setter who’s here right now for Art Basel Miami: Hannah Bronfman, seen outside the Fendi show this fall. And this pink dress would actually be perfect resort wear.
Candela Novembre cut an elegant figure in a belted leather dress at the Blumarine show in Milan.
Loved the clean sculptural lines and fall colors of this Salvatore Ferragamo dress on Giovanna Battaglia, spotted outside the Carven show in Paris. Another styling tip to note: turtlenecks are still going strong for winter 2015/2016.
New blogger Samantha Angelo of The Eye Travels turned heads this fashion week season with her statuesque beauty and flair for mixing different pieces. Outside the Chloe show in Paris, she belted a long Dries Van Noten coat, part trench and part duster, over an Acne dress with a pointed collar and Mary Jane-style Charlotte Olympia shoes. The military subtext to the outfit may especially work for another reason: she actually served in the Marines as a clarinetist in the United States Marine Band! Certainly a multi-talented player on the fashion scene.
Just sort of, you know, crossing the street on a regular day in Paris – for Michelle Elie that is! The Comme des Garcons connoisseur wore a red creation by the label to the Haider Ackermann show this weekend.
Designer Ulyana Sergeenko arrived at the Dolce & Gabbana show in Milan in a black lace dress – and so did her daughter, who accessorized with an ice cream cone bag.
Gilda Ambrosio was one of the first to wear the new Moschino “fresh” themed collection at the shows in Milan. It’s definitely a catchy design – and is rapidly catching on among the fashion set.
A great look in an Anna K dress on Eleonora Carisi at the Lacoste show. Valentino bag. And yes, turtlenecks are still going strong.
