Very sad to hear the news today that Franca Sozzani has died. The groundbreaking editor of Vogue Italia, who once published an “all black” issue of the magazine, was a pleasure to photograph. Always elegantly dressed, she was a true lady, smiling and polite, yet a bit mysterious. Although she favored certain labels – particularly Alaia, Fendi, Valentino and Prada, designed by her fashion friends – she was always open to change, both in what she wore and how she approached the magazine, for which she even wrote a blog. We will miss her. A gallery of some of her best looks, after the jump.
