The utilitarian look doesn’t seem to be going anywhere for fall, so Yigal Azrouel’s new capsule collection should launch just in time to provide you with a reliable September uniform. WWD reports that the designer’s new sportswear line will launch at Bergdorfs, Saks, and Intermix in July and will be much more gently priced than his signature line – but with much of the same excellence in craftsmanship.
Schooled in the virtues of uniforms since first grade, I am definitely gravitating towards this sleeveless army coat/dress on the left, which could provide durable protection from the slings and arrows of next September’s fashion week.
