Chloe
Posted by bellastraniera - 19/03/10 at 05:03 pm One of the last shows of the season, Chloe took place in the Tuileries when it was just beginning to feel like spring. This year, “spring color” means something a little toned down than usual. White and ivory, neutral khaki and olive green, camel, animal-print silks, and the occasional bright pop of color make up the palette for the new season.
A model in an ivory jumpsuit dodges the shoe paparazzi. Wearable, chic jumpsuits were a key part of the Chloe fall/winter 2010 collection as well.
A teal scarf adds a pop of color to an all-black outfit with black wedges.
Open-toe buckle booties in neutral cognac leather and canvas.
Women are so enamored with leopard that it isn’t being shelved at springtime this year. Look for the pattern to continue in more lightweight fabrics like this silk dress. Note too the retro ’70s glasses frames.
Chloe wedges.
A colorblock look of yellow, blue and white.
Anna Dello Russo in a white Chanel suit with black trim. The sheer black stockings look very elegant with this white suit for day.
Ken Downing and Ann Stordahl of Neiman Marcus.
An interesting British inspired look of a camel cloak and dark bowler hat.
Mixing black and brown is par for the course now, especially with this season’s cognac-colored leather neutrals.
Studded and fringed accessories for maximalist embellishment.
Sarah Rutson bundled up against the wind. I think her cigarette skinny jeans are Current Elliott.
Here’s that aristocratic outback look again – with a fisherman’s sweater and colorblock suede and leather bag.
A black and white yak fur jacket on a very windy day – worn with metal capped stilettos.
I liked the cool neo punk look on this photog. The ikat print scarf is the finishing touch.
Layers of animal print under a military jacket, including a silk animal print jumpsuit.
A cute and quirky red lipstick tee feminizes pleated trousers and a wide-shoulder jacket.
The slim silhouette of a beautifully tailored black coat is always chic. Paired here with platform stiletto sandals.
The editorial front row inside the Chloe show.
A look from the Chloe fall 2010 collection, which focused almost exclusively on camel colors.
Models in the front row. Great shoes.
Sally Singer, Tonne Goodman and Grace Coddington of Vogue.
Bill Cunningham and Cathy Horyn of the NYT.
Another great look from the runway.
Carine Roitfeld in fabulous open-toe stiletto oxfords.
Layers of draped wool that echoed the draping in the fall collection – plus a cute wool riding cap.
Kate Lanphear in an animal-print coat, black pleated trousers and open toe booties.
Lynn Yaeger who, like me, ended up wearing a parka for almost all of fashion week because it was so freakin’ cold!
I don’t know her name, but she always wears all black and cuts a chic figure walking across the bleached out Tuileries.
A citron-yellow jacket adds a pop of color to this photog’s outfit.
One last circular chunky scarf, one of my favorite looks of winter.
