Satin, sequins and girly glamour ruled at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show – and not just on the runway. Celebs like Fergie, in a strapless red sheath, and Keri Hilson, in a backless number, brought sexy back to the red carpet in New York last night. On other well-dressed guests, short hemlines ruled, and embellishments like lace, feathers, and metallics added to the glam rock feel.

Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas makes an entrance. The first thing we saw of her was her very sparkly shoe.
Here’s the full effect, glam in a red dress and oodles of jewels. will.i.am is in a white track suit.
apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas.
Two guys arrive early. Wouldn’t you?
Just because there’s rain in the forecast doesn’t mean you have to downgrade the outfit: a black patent raincoat.
Victoria’s Secret CEO and President Sharen Turney in a sexy red strapless dress.
A sculptural black dress.
More black dresses.
This canary yellow dress was daring and very pretty worn with a feather vest.
Two guys in artfully draped scarves.
The combination of purple tights, a brown and black checked velvet jacket and an outrageous tulle skirt is so zany, you just have to love it. Individualism is not dead in fashion.
A three-piece, double-breasted suit a la “Mad Men.”
Many men wore all black.
Keri Hilson in a beaded floral dress.
Alexander Wang in all black.
Purple accessories. On the right, one of many sequin dresses we saw that night.
Red cocktail dress and a biker jacket.
This drapey gold sequin dress is almost flapper-esque, especially with the cute ’20s-style haircut.
Gavin Degraw in a knit cap and plaid jacket.
Adrienne Ballon in a green dress and zipper booties.
Carine Roitfeld in a lace sheath. Look closely and you’ll notice – pantslessness! It’s not the first time she’s dared to go pantsless.
Jeremy Sisto and his wife Addie Lane. Her polka dot dress with a red bow tie is extremely daring for a red carpet event – and very cute.
Love the way her belted coat flares out in this feminine silhouette. Also note the patterned stockings worn with booties.
A blue minidress, black platforms, and a feather jacket. Very downtown chic. Black stockings with open-toe shoes may be the next frontier after black tights with open-toe shoes.
’80s redux – black biker jacket, big earrings, and a short, Pat Benatar-esque haircut.
What looks right now? Metallics and a sequin dress paired with a biker jacket. Perfect party wear.
