Trash Talk from Kesha Sebert

WWD has an item they call the “quote of the day,” though today they picked something boring from Donna Karan. Wrong! The best quote of today’s WWD has to come from up-and-coming pop princess Kesha Sebert, a.k.a. Ke$ha, who talks to WWD about buying a vest off a homeless guy and wearing a white trash bag to P. Diddy’s white party, but says she isn’t against going upscale were the opportunity to arise.

“I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’d like a fancy bag,” Sebert says, almost defensively. “But I’d probably just run it over with my car to make it look dirty.”

Anybody want to send her a little something? Balenciaga? Prada? Coach? Anybody??

On the other hand, WWD has proven prescient when ID’ing future fashion icons in the past. They profiled Lady GaGa long before she was an international playa, when her style was more quirky than totally outrageous. This was before her recent trip to Jerusalem when she wore a leather jacket decorated with studs in the shape of the Star of David:

Can Ke$ha provide the same level of entertainment as former WWD fashion subject Lady Gaga? Only time will tell.
