ADAM Show SS10

On a drizzly Saturday, many in the fashion pack let down their hair a bit and arrived at the ADAM show in their casual best. Leggings and skinny pants paired with oversize tops were a staple of Adam Lippes’ upscale sportswear for fall 2009, and many guests followed suit.

A great weekend outfit of a blue button-down boyfriend shirt with leggings, lace-up boots, and vest. Notice how handbag shapes are more structured, less slouchy for fall 2009. The ideal design has short handles and a long strap for versatility – and style.

Louis Vuitton bag. Note the artful way she’s worn her fringed scarf tucked into the boyfriend blazer.

Killer studded Louboutin heels. Cropped black trousers are the best way to show off your favorite fall shoes.

Guess we aren’t the only ones who buy a favorite item in more than one color: so does Anna Wintour. This is the same coat she wore to Jason Wu in brilliant vermilion. Here she pairs a khaki version with a silk blockprint dress.

A good new interpretation of a jean jacket: cropped, and worn with a colorful statement necklace. The gorgeous wedge heels don’t hurt, either.

This exotic look channeled many of the clothes that were yet to hit the runways for spring/summer 2010. She’s paired a lightweight zebra-print jumpsuit with an arresting red headscarf and chunky necklace.

I’m not sure who she is, but I love her style. This girl is at many of the shows and always balances the geek chic of her black frame glasses with the uber femininity of red lips and an updo. The rest of her outfit is usually black, or in this case, black and gray.
