Anything that made a guy look even vaguely like Tom Cruise in Top Gun (1986) – Ray Ban aviator glasses, a white tee, a brown leather bomber jacket – was considered totally hot. The resurgence of aviators recently owes a lot to the original appeal of Top Gun.
